Aeropress

Aeropress makes intense coffee 

20 g coffee - 250 g water – 1 min + 30 sec brew time
= 230 ml/222 g brewed coffee

ALL YOU NEED

aeropress ingredients
  • Aeropress
  • Filter paper
  • Cup/decanter
  • Scale
  • Paddle
  • Grinder
  • Kettle

STEP 1

Measure and grind coffee. 

STEP 2

Pour hot water through the filter to wet the paper and to warm up the filter and the cup/decanter. Use the hot water afterwards to water your houseplants.

STEP 3

Add the ground coffee to the Aeropress cylinder. 

STEP 4

Pour the water into the cylinder and stir. 

STEP 5

Place the plunger tightly on the cylinder but don’t press. This will create underpressure. 

STEP 6

Wait for 60 sec and start pressing. Use approximately 30 sec. Note that it is not recommended to do the pressing on top of the scale!  (mistake on the video) The coffee flows into the cup/decanter. Stop as soon as you hear the hissing sound (that makes the difference in grams).
